College Scholarships

St. Agnes Credit Union is please to provide information on the availability of two college scholarship programs.

2006 Education Exchange College Grant Program
You could receive part of $50,000 in college grants through the Education Exchange 2006. Pick up an application at either of the credit union offices or email us to have an application mailed to you. Entry deadline is March 15, 2006.

The Education Exchange college grant program is sponsored by ACCEL/Exchange.

MD Credit Union Foundation 2006 Scholarship Essay Contest
The Maryland Credit Union Foundation is pleased to announce that up to ten $1000 college scholarships are available to members of Maryland and District of Columbia credit unions.

Like other complex social phenomenon confronting today’s youth, personal finance presents more difficult choices and pitfalls than experienced by previous generations. Based on this fact, the theme for the ninth annual scholarship is: “Do high school students need financial literacy education while they are still in school? What part should credit unions play?"

Applicants must be a member of a Maryland or District of Columbia credit union and must have applied to, or currently attend, any college or university as an undergraduate student. Essays will be judged on originality, attention to detail and may include personal experience and/or expectations of a credit union.

The deadline for entry is March 31, 2006. The scholarship award will be awarded in May. For more information and a copy of the information sheet and application visit mdcufoundation.org.
